Thinking of selling your home and wondering what to look for when deciding on an agent?

When you make the decision to sell your home, one of the first things you should do is find an agent that you can work well with to get your home sold. When choosing an agent you should consider the agent’s experience, education, knowledge of the area, and whether he/she is a full or part-time agent. Selling your home is a very important transaction and you need to have someone in your corner that you trust to get that done.

There are many steps in the process of selling your home to be considered. Throughout the process, you will have to prepare the home, price the home, market the home, schedule showings, negotiate the contract, get through the inspection and appraisal process, stay in contact with the title company and lenders, and ultimately get to the closing table.

Your agent should be someone you trust to offer good advice on preparing the home from the inside out and someone that will provide the necessary information to help price the home right! Someone you know is going to market your home and make sure it is being seen! You need someone that you know is going to negotiate the most favorable deal for YOU – not just on pricing but also through timelines and inspections and appraisals. You need someone that you know is going to stay on top of your transaction and work closely with the title company and cooperating agent to get you to the closing table. It’s important that you choose an agent that you can partner with through the whole transaction and know that you are being taken care of!
